I hope you have had a great week. It looks like tomorrow will be a bit wintery. We’re out of school Monday, so your families will have plenty of time to enjoy the snow.
COVID-19 cases hit us hard this week. We reported 150 positive cases from January 8 until the end of the day today.
Jonesboro Public Schools began seeing an increase in positive cases a couple weeks before we did, and their cases are now declining. The cycle seems to be about three weeks, so we’ll just continue working as hard as we can to get through this peak.
I want to extend an invitation to our stakeholders to join me in Dunbar Auditorium for a community discussion about the high school renovation project. I will host two of these meetings over the next month to get the conversation started with those interested in learning more. I will cover the same topics at both meetings: Tuesday, January 25 from 5:30-6:30 and Tuesday, February 15 from 5:30-6:30.
